What is ULTRACOL?
ULTRACOL is not a filler that instantly plugs a gap. It is a collagen-booster injection that lays down a 'scaffold' so the skin builds its own collagen. A fine powder made from dissolvable-suture material (PDO) is placed in the dermis, and as it slowly dissolves the skin gradually builds collagen onto it. The change comes in gradually and looks natural over time. Like feeding a garden steadily rather than dumping fertilizer all at once: it is less a filler that instantly plugs a gap and more a scaffold the skin builds its own collagen onto. As the PDO settled in the dermis slowly dissolves, it prompts the skin's own collagen, so the change appears gradually and looks natural over time.
Who it may be considered for
If you have the following skin concerns, ULTRACOL 200 may be considered.
- Skin firmness has decreased and the skin looks generally lacking in vitality
- Fine lines around the eyes and mouth and early signs of skin ageing are a concern
- The skin texture feels rough and the skin's resilience has declined
- The aim is to improve skin condition gradually by inducing collagen production
ULTRACOL 200 is a collagen booster that uses PDO (polydioxanone) microparticles to induce collagen production in the skin, and is used to improve overall signs of skin ageing such as firmness, fine lines, and texture. As changes are expected gradually as collagen is produced, repeat sessions at regular intervals according to the skin condition are recommended for sufficient improvement.
The medical team judges suitability individually after assessing skin thickness and firmness, fine lines and texture, and the treatment area. Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, when there is active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or in the case of autoimmune or granulomatous disease, a bleeding disorder, or a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. Please also inform the medical team in advance if you have previously received permanent or non-absorbable fillers in the treatment area, or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding.
What happens at the visit
1. Consultation & diagnosis: the doctor assesses the skin and treatment area and explains the suitable product option and plan.
2. Cleansing & topical anesthesia: a numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes (standard for injectables) for comfort.
3. Genuine product, opened in front of the patient: the authentic product is unsealed in the individual's presence and the powder is dissolved and prepared to a measured dose with sterile water and lidocaine (the exact mixing ratio may be adjusted by area and the doctor's judgment).
4. Injection: the doctor distributes the product into the dermis, taking particular care in thin-skinned areas to avoid nodules.
5. Finish: a recovery cream is applied; antibiotics may be prescribed and follow-up imaging taken as needed.
Active treatment time is roughly 20 minutes, plus the numbing wait.
Safety and aftercare
Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when there is active infection or inflammation in the treatment area. Prior confirmation is also required for a history of autoimmune or granulomatous disease, a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, or a bleeding disorder. If you are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding, or have previously received permanent or non-absorbable fillers in the treatment area, please be sure to inform the medical team.
Immediately after treatment, redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or small raised bumps may appear at the injection sites, and in most cases these gradually settle over time. Rarely, lumps or nodules may develop at the injection sites, so if a firm lump persists or grows, or if severe pain, redness, warmth, or swelling persists, medical assessment is required.

Frequently asked questions
When Will ULTRACOL 200 Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?
A PDO collagen booster is not an instant-result treatment. As a sequence: in the first days to weeks the PDO begins to break down; from around weeks 3-4 changes start to appear as new collagen forms; and collagen formation is generally most active over roughly the next 3-6 months. After that, the result holds for a period depending on the collagen formed, and a series builds the supportive base cumulatively rather than from a single session. Because the benefit comes from the skin's own collagen, longevity varies by individual (by skin condition, age, and lifestyle) and is generally discussed during consultation. To stimulate enough collagen, a series of 3-5 sessions about 4 weeks apart is generally recommended, with the exact schedule set by the doctor. Since the result builds up over time through the skin's own collagen, keeping up the everyday home care the doctor advises between sessions, such as regular moisturizing and sun protection, can help support that collagen-building environment.
How is ULTRACOL different from a filler?
A hyaluronic-acid filler adds instant volume by filling a space directly. ULTRACOL instead works gradually: as the PDO powder dissolves, it acts like a scaffold that stimulates the skin's own collagen, so the change appears slowly and looks natural.
How many ULTRACOL sessions are needed?
To build enough collagen, a series of 3-5 sessions roughly 4 weeks apart is generally recommended. The exact number is decided by the doctor based on the skin and treatment area.
Does ULTRACOL hurt?
A numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes and lidocaine is included in the prepared mix to reduce discomfort. Patients may feel brief, mild discomfort during injection; this varies between individuals.
Can ULTRACOL be done during a single trip, and how does a full series work?
Active treatment is about 20 minutes (plus numbing time) with short downtime, so one session fits easily into a single visit. If a full series is recommended, the remaining sessions would fall on later visits, and scheduling them on a future trip can be discussed with the doctor.
