What is Hip Filler?
Hip Filler injects a large volume of filler into the buttocks (hips) to add volume and define the contour, lifting a flat or sagging-looking hip into a fuller, more sculpted shape. It is a non-surgical way to design the hip's curve and line without an operation. Unlike facial treatments that use small amounts, it works across a broad area with a large volume, and an immediate change in volume can be expected.
Who it may be considered for
Hip Filler may be considered in the following situations.
- The hips lack volume or look flat and a more dimensional contour is desired
- A specific part of the hips is hollow, making the overall line look uneven
- The aim is to supplement a hip dip at the side of the pelvis for a smoother line
- The aim is to naturally supplement differences in volume or contour between the left and right hips
- Relatively quick change in hip volume and contour without surgery is desired
However, when skin sagging is significant or the muscle and bone structure is the main factor, the change that can be expected from filler alone may be limited. The medical team judges suitability and the treatment areas and volume individually after assessing hip shape and volume, hip dips, left-right balance, and skin condition.
Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, when there is active infection, inflammation, or an open wound in the treatment area, or when there is a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding. If you have previously had fillers, fat grafting, implants, or other procedures in the hip area, please also inform us in advance.
What happens at the visit
1) Consultation: the doctor reviews the shape of the hip, left-right balance, skin condition and medical history (pregnancy, medications, allergies, prior procedures) and designs which product, amount and line to use in which areas. The amount needed is set according to the target shape.
2) Topical anesthesia: numbing cream is applied to the area, and because this is a large-volume treatment, an additional numbing preparation may also be used at the doctor's discretion for comfort.
3) Authenticity check: the genuine product to be used is confirmed, and the product name and amount are recorded on the chart.
4) Injection & design: using a blunt-tipped cannula or a needle, filler is distributed evenly into a safe plane (mainly the subcutaneous fat layer) while shaping the curve and checking left-right balance. A cannula can help reduce bruising and the risk of vessel injury; for vascular and depth safety, this is always performed by medical staff.
5) Finishing: the shape is tidied, soothing care is applied, and aftercare guidance — including compression and posture precautions — is given for home care.
Actual treatment time is about 40 minutes, performed in a single session.
Safety and aftercare
Hip Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Treatment may be restricted if there is active infection, inflammation, or an open wound in the treatment area, or if there is a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid (HA) or any other ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a history of anaesthetic allergy, a bleeding disorder, or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding. If you have previously had fillers, fat grafting, implants, or other procedures in the hip area, please also inform us in advance.
Hip Filler injects a large volume over a relatively wide area, so swelling, bruising, tenderness, aching, or temporary firmness may occur after treatment; in most cases these gradually settle over time. Early swelling may make the shape of the hips or left-right differences feel unlike usual. Rarely, palpable lumps or contour irregularities may appear at the injection sites; if these persist, medical assessment is required.
Although rare, vascular complications can occur with filler treatment. The hips are also an area where major blood vessels are distributed, so if pain is severe or progressively worsens after treatment, or if the skin turns white or becomes mottled red or purple, immediate medical assessment is required.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from surgery (implants)?
Hip implant surgery is a surgical method that places an implant through an incision. Hip Filler is a non-surgical approach that injects filler to add volume and line — with no incision and a relatively quicker recovery. That said, the longevity and the most suitable method depend on body shape and goals, and are decided after consultation. (It also differs from a Brazilian butt lift or fat grafting, which move your own fat.)
How much volume is needed, and what does it cost?
The hip is a broad area, so a large volume in units of 200cc is used; the amount needed depends on the shape of the hip, the line you want and left-right balance. The listed price is the starting price for EPTQ EVE S 200cc (excluding VAT), and as it varies by product and amount, the exact cost is advised at consultation.
Does it hurt? Is there anesthesia?
Topical numbing is applied to the area, and because this is a large-volume treatment, an additional numbing preparation may also be used at the doctor's discretion for comfort. Pain perception varies between individuals.
What's the downtime?
Usually around 3 days, with individual variation. As a large-volume treatment, swelling, bruising or an achy feeling may occur for several days and usually resolves on its own. Swelling generally settles over about 1-2 weeks, and compression and posture precautions are needed for a period afterward. Specific daily guidance is given at consultation.
How long do the results last?
The injected HA filler is gradually absorbed over time and tends to last around a year on average, though it may be shorter or longer depending on the product, amount, individual metabolism and lifestyle, and varies considerably between individuals. Details are advised at consultation.
