How Ultherapy works and what the day is like
Ultherapy focuses ultrasound energy into tiny coagulation points at the SMAS layer, so it works on the structure under the skin rather than only the surface. The handpiece shows a live ultrasound image, so the doctor can see the depth being treated.
The visit starts with a consultation and skin measurement; the doctor examines your face and decides the number of shots and the areas. Patients describe a brief sting at each energy point, sharper near bone — about 5 out of 10 on average when asked after numbing cream. If you prefer, sedation (sleep) or nitrous oxide can be used instead.
Some lift can be seen right away, with the main change building over about 2–3 months; results typically last about 6–12 months and vary from person to person. If you are preparing for an event such as a wedding, plan for about six weeks before it.
Ulthera (DeepSEE) or Ultherapy Prime?
REPIC Clinic Gangnam offers both. Ultherapy Prime is the newer tier of the Ultherapy platform and was introduced at the clinic in September 2026. The doctor recommends which one, and how many shots, after examining your face; we do not publish a technical comparison between the two.
Ultherapy can be combined with Thermage FLX on the same day — they work at different depths, so the order does not matter. Combination prices are in the table above.
Getting Ultherapy in Seoul as an international patient
Book online or message us on WhatsApp, LINE, KakaoTalk or WeChat with your travel dates. All doctors consult in English, and the clinic is open on weekends and public holidays (10:00–18:00), closing only on the day of Seollal and the day of Chuseok.
Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or have had filler or a thread lift recently. Prices are the same for international and Korean patients; 10% VAT is added at payment.
